Forgiveness from the Heart
8-Lesson Class with Craig Hill
Have you ever made an effort to forgive someone, only to find a new layer of bitterness or wounding that needs to be dealt with?

You are not alone—many people face this same battle to forgive injustices against them.

It is one thing to forgive someone in your mind, but quite another to extend grace from your heart.

You probably realize from first-hand experience that…
  • Wounds don’t just disappear
  • Disappointment can’t just be waved away
  • Betrayals don’t fade with time
  • Abuse doesn’t lose its sting
No matter how hard you will yourself to forgive, until these injustices are satisfied and the debt is paid, true forgiveness cannot flow from your mind to your heart.

So, what’s the solution?
A radical new approach to forgiveness that deals with the issues blocking forgiveness from the heart.

Through personal experience and years of walking alongside the painful journeys of others, God opened Craig Hill’s eyes to four key components keeping our hearts locked in pain and bitterness. Not only does Craig address the roots of offense plaguing you now, but he will give you a whole new framework to keep your heart healthy and prevent strongholds from making a comeback.

The enemy wants you to harden your heart to the love and grace of God through offense, injustice, betrayal, and the heartbreaks of this life. God’s solution is to heal the hurt, pay the debt, and restore all the enemy has stolen… if you will let go and let Him change you through forgiveness.

Lesson 1: Is Jesus’ Blood Enough?
Have you ever wondered why is it so hard to forgive people, particularly people that have lied about you, betrayed you, stolen from you? It is one thing to forgive someone in your mind, but quite another to extend grace from your heart. In this lesson, Craig discusses what forgiveness is and is NOT, then leaves you with a choice: Are you going to let the blood of Jesus pay for what that person did against you?

Lesson 2: Unforgiveness Is Idolatry
Only one person has authority over your identity and your destiny, and that is Jesus. Unforgiveness becomes a form of idolatry when you allow another person to determine your future. In this lesson, you will learn to break the power of this idolatry, release bitterness, and posture your heart to receive from the One who brings hope and healing.

Lesson 3: Stop Defending Yourself
As a child, you likely learned to protect your heart when you encountered wounding and injustice. You put up walls and designed protective defense mechanisms to keep your heart safe. But the truth is, these walls also keep you from receiving love from God and others. In this lesson, you will be equipped with courage to make Jesus your defense instead.

Lesson 4: Putting Death to Death
Without the protective walls in your heart, how can you respond to violent attacks? Craig explains how Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, which includes the power of death. You will learn a simple strategy to combat the devious plans of the enemy and release the brilliant power of resurrection life.

Lesson 1: Build a Solid Foundation
When building a physical house to live in, it is impossible to install critical systems such as plumbing and electrical before pouring the foundation for the building to sit on. This is not only true with construction, but also with your finances. Unless you have a foundation of strong financial principles to build upon in proper sequence, your financial house cannot function properly! In this lesson you will learn what these Biblical financial principles are, and how you can implement them to create a solid foundation to build upon.
Lesson 2: Seek Vision, Not Provision
Do you work in your chosen field because you have a vision you are pursuing, or because you’re pursuing the income that the field brings with it? In this lesson, Craig teaches the principle that is critical to understand when it comes to your finances: provision follows vision, not the other way around!

Lesson 3: Ten Symptoms of the Spirit of Mammon
How can you tell if you are really pursuing vision or provision? In this session, Craig helps you answer that question by giving ten symptoms that are indicators of the Spirit of Mammon prevailing in your finances. Once you are aware of these symptoms, you will be one step closer to replacing the lies with God’s truth and walking with the peace He wants you to have in your finances.
Lesson 5: Overcoming Offense
One of the primary mechanisms God uses to expose the hardness of your heart is offense. You may think you have a right to be treated fairly, but if you received what you truly deserved, you would be condemned to hell for your sin. When someone offends you, you have a remarkable opportunity to minister in the opposite spirit and soften your heart.
Lesson 6: 4 Types of Soil, Part 1
In this lesson, Craig shares his insights on the parable of the sower. He explains how this parable is vital because it illustrates our ability to receive the Word—and the words we receive frame our worldview. You will learn about the first type of soil, the Wayside Heart, and find keys to overcome rejection.

Lesson 7: 4 Types of Soil, Part 2
Craig continues to unpack the parable of the sower by focusing on the second type of soil—the Stony Heart. People with a stony heart receive the Word with joy but fall away when persecution comes. You will discover the common childhood cause of this type of soil and learn the powerful antidote.
Lesson 8: 4 Types of Soil, Part 3
In this final lesson, Craig describes the remaining two types of soil—the Thorny Soil and the Good Soil. If you struggle with materialism, you likely find that you are not able to focus on the Word long enough for it to take root. Craig leaves you with powerful truths to overcome Mammon and transform the quality of your heart to Good Soil. From this place, you will be able to extend the unconditional love you have received to others and discover true forgiveness from the heart.
